The fuse block is a swing-down unit located in the underside of the instrument panel left of the steering column. The fuse block uses miniaturized fuses, designed for increased circuit protection and greater reliability. Various convenience connectors, which snap-lock into the fuse block, add to the serviceability of this unit.

The fuses can be removed by grasping the middle of the fuse with a needle nose pliers and pulling straight out of the fuse block. The fuses can be tested while they are still in the fuse block. Insert a fuse tester or a point type test light into the two medal tangs on the top of the fuse. With the ignition key ON, the test light should light.

When replacing fuses, only use the correct amperage replacement fuse. Each fuse has a number stamped on the top which indicates the amperage rating. Damage to the electrical system may result if the incorrect fuses are used.
