REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the door trim panel and water deflector as previously outlined in this section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front and rear filler sealing strips.
  4.  
  5. Drill out the rivets at the cam assembly, front stop and rear stop with a 1 / 4 inch drill bit.
  6.  
  7. Remove the front and rear glass stops.
  8.  
  9. Loosen and move back the door glass stabilizers.
  10.  
  11. Remove all bushings from the glass before removing the glass. Carefully remove the glass.
  12.  

To install:

  1. Insert all the bushings in the glass before installing the glass in the door.
  2.  
  3. Install the glass to the cam assembly.
  4.  
  5. Install the front and rear stops.
  6.  
  7. Install the rivets ( 1 / 4 dia. X 1 / 2 in.) for the front stop, rear stop and cam assembly. Nut and bolt sets can be used, but have to be coated with thread locking compound before installation.
  8.  
  9. Check the window for proper operation. Adjust as necessary.
  10.  
  11. Install the front and rear filler sealing strip, water deflector and door trim panel.
  12.  

ADJUSTMENT



Window Rotated
  1. The water deflector and door trim panel must be removed to adjust the door window.
  2.  
  3. Loosen the up-stop bolts.
  4.  
  5. Adjust the inner panel cam bolts
  6.  
  7. Adjust the window so that the upper edge of the glass is parallel with the roof rail weatherstrip.
  8.  
  9. Tighten attaching bolts.
  10.  

Window Upper Edge Inboard or Outboard
  1. Loosen the front retainer bolt.
  2.  
  3. Loosen the rear cam guide to support bolts.
  4.  
  5. Loosen the rear up-stop.
  6.  
  7. Loosen the front and rear glass stabilizer screws.
  8.  
  9. Adjust the vertical guide and rear up-stop support in or out as required and tighten the attaching screws.
  10.  

Window Too Far Foreward and Rearward
  1. Loosen the front run channel bolts.
  2.  
  3. Loosen the rear cam guide assembly.
  4.  
  5. Align the glass in the correct up position.
  6.  
  7. Tighten the upper bolt on the front run channel.
  8.  
  9. Tighten the upper bolts on the rear cam guide.
  10.  
  11. Lower the glass.
  12.  
  13. Tighten the lower bolt on the front run channel.
  14.  
  15. Tighten the lower bolts on the rear cam guide.
  16.  

Window Too High or Low in the Up Position

Adjust the front and rear up-stop bolts and retighten the bolts.

Window Binds or Has Inboard/Outboard Movement
  1. Loosen the glass stabilizers.
  2.  
  3. Place the glass in half-up position.
  4.  
  5. Push the stabilizers against the glass with only enough pressure to eliminate inboard outboard movement.
  6.  
  7. Tighten the glass stabilizers.
  8.  
  9. If the cam channels and rollers lack lubrication, lubricate with part No. 1052196 or Lubriplate Auto-Lube A or another equivalent.
