  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Pry off the center cap or remove the two pad screws. Remove the retainer clip and nut.
  4.  
  5. Remove the steering wheel using a steering wheel puller tool J-1859-03 or BT-61-9.
  6.  
  7. When installing, align the index mark on the steering wheel with the index mark on the steering shaft. Torque the retaining nut to 35 ft. lbs. (47 Nm).

CAUTION
The canceling cam tower must be centered in the slot of the lock plate cover before assembling the wheel.
