Battery Was Disconnected

Possible Causes:



Battery direct power (B+) circuit is open (test power to PDC)
 
Battery direct power (B+) circuit is shorted to ground (test fuse)
 
Battery was discharged to a low voltage state or disconnected
 
scan tool "quick learn" for quick disconnect function performed
 

Trouble Code: P1793



Torque Management Request Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Extremely low battery (system) voltage
 
Torque management request circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to system power (i.e., the TRD circuit has failed) or the TCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1794



A/T Speed Sensor Ground Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Extremely low battery (system) voltage
 
TCM "reset" function has just been performed

Transmission Control Module Internal Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Extremely low battery (system) voltage
 
Engine "starts" since set counter less than three (3)

A/T Additional AutoStick Input Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



AutoStick switch ground circuit is open
 
AutoStick downshift switch is stuck in open or closed position
 
AutoStick downshift Sensor circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
AutoStick switch power circuit is open (test power at Fused B+)
 
AutoStick Upshift switch is stuck in open or closed position
 
AutoStick Upshift switch Sensor is open or shorted to ground

A/T Manual Shift Overheat Malfunction

Possible Causes:



ATF fluid level too high (transmission may be overfilled)
 
Engine Cooling System or engine cooling fan malfunction
 
Excessive drive time in low gear, or aggressive drive patterns
 
Transmission oil cooler is clogged or restricted

A/T Transmission Fluid Is Burnt Or Contaminated

Possible Causes:



ATF is burnt, contaminated or very dirty
 
Extremely low battery (system) voltage
 
Transmission pan has debris
 
Transmission has internal damage causing the vehicle shudder

A/T Calculated Oil Temperature In Use Malfunction

Possible Causes:



TFT Sensor signal circuit is open
 
TFT Sensor ground circuit is open
 
TFT Sensor signal circuit is shorted to ground
 
TFT Sensor signal circuit is shorted to VREF (5v)
 
TFT Sensor signal not correct for the ATF fluid temperature
 
Speed Sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
Speed Sensor signal circuit is shorted to system power
 
TCM oil temperature Sensor high or low circuit has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1899



A/T Park Neutral Switch Stuck in Park Position or In Gear

Possible Causes:



P/N switch signal circuit is open between the switch and PCM
 
P/N switch signal circuit is shorted to Sensor or chassis ground
 
P/N switch ground circuit is open (at the switch mounting point)
 
P/N switch is stuck in P/N position, or stuck in Drive position
 
P/N switch is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed
