O2 (B1 S3) Heater Fault

Possible Causes:



ASD relay output (power) circuit to the heater is open
 
O2 heater ground circuit open or O2 signal circuit is open
 
O2 heater element has high resistance
 
O2 heater element has failed (open or shorted)
 
PCM has failed

O2 (B2 S1) Circuit Short to Ground

Possible Causes:



O2 signal circuit is shorted to chassis or Sensor ground
 
O2 signal circuit is open (circuit reads 450 mV when open)
 
O2 ground circuit is open (circuit reads 170 mV when open)
 
O2 may be contaminated or it has failed
 
PCM has failed

O2 (B2 S1) Short to Voltage

Possible Causes:



O2 signal tracking in connector due to wet/oily conditions
 
O2 ground circuit is open
 
O2 heater supply circuit is open

Fuel delivery component fault (clogged filter, low fuel pressure)
 
O2 element is contaminated, deteriorated or it has failed
 
Vacuum hose is disconnected, broken, leaking or loose

Base engine fault (i.e., cam timing incorrect, oil level too high)
 
EVAP vapor recovery system failure (e.g., canister full of fuel)

Fuel delivery component fault (injector leak, high fuel pressure)
 
O2 element is contaminated, deteriorated or it has failed
 
O2 heater is damaged or it has failed

Possible Causes:



Fuel injection pump has failed (this code is normally caused by an internal failure of the fuel injection pump)

Fuel Temperature Sensor has failed (this Sensor is not serviceable without replacing the VP44 pump controller unit).
