Power Seat Motor



Removal & Installation
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable(s).
  2.  
  3. Remove the seat assembly from the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. Unplug the power seat wire harness connectors at each of the motors.
  6.  
  7. Release the wire harness retainers from the seat adjuster and motors assembly.
  8.  
  9. Remove the fasteners that secure the center seat cushion section to the brackets on the power seat adjuster, if so equipped.
  10.  
  11. Remove the screws that secure the power seat adjuster and motors assembly to the seat cushion frame.
  12.  
  13. Remove the power seat adjuster and motors assembly from the cushion frame.
  14.  
  15. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Removal & Installation



  1. Clamp the seat belts to keep them from retracting.
  2.  
  3. Locate and disconnect seat wiring at the connector(s).
  4.  
  5. Move front seats forward or back for access to the hold down hardware.
  6.  
  7. Put the rear seats in the stowed position.
  8.  
  9. On Durango 3rd row seats, lift the cushion upward and forward to floor cargo position.
  10.  
  11. Remove the hardware securing the seat.
  12.  
  13. On split bench models, lift the center seat upward to clear attachment stud
  14.  
  15. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
  16.  


NOTE
Do NOT activate the track adjusters once the fastening hardware is removed.

  1. Installation is the reverse of removal.
