  4.

To install:

  1. Install or connect the following:

Hub and bearing assembly. Tighten the bolts to 120 ft. lbs. (163 Nm).

    Knuckle onto the halfshaft

Upper ball joint on the knuckle. Torque the nut to 40 ft. lbs. (54 Nm) (on 1500 series, plus 90 degrees).

Tie rod end to the knuckle. Tighten the nut to 45 ft. lbs. (61 Nm) plus 90 degrees.

Halfshaft nut. Torque to 185 ft. lbs. (251 Nm).

    Wheel speed sensor

    Brake caliper and rotor

    Front wheel

  2.

Link/Coil Suspension
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Front wheel

Hub extension from the rotor, if equipped

    Brake caliper and rotor

    Hub nut

    Wheel speed sensor wiring

Hub/bearing mounting bolts 1 / 4 each. Then, tap the bolts with a mallet to loosen the hub/bearing assembly.
