  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. If the rear hatch is equipped with any electrical accessories, disconnect the wiring harness to those accessories and remove the harness from between the hatch and body.
  4.  
  5. Remove the rear hatch hinge bolt covers located in the interior of the car.
  6.  
  7. Have an assistant hold the hatch open. Remove any hatch supports or lifts.
  8.  
  9. Unbolt the hatch hinge from the body.
  10.  
  11. Carefully remove the hatch from the vehicle.
  12.  
  13. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  14.  

ALIGNMENT



  1. Loosen the hatch hinge bolts, located behind the concealment plugs inside the car.
  2.  
  3. Adjust the hatch so that all gaps between the hatch and body are equal.
  4.  
  5. Tighten the hinge bolts and reinstall the concealment plugs.
  6.
