R-12, R-15, R-17, Gordini, R-18, Fuego, and Sport Wagon
  1. Raise and support the car on jackstands placed under the frame.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the shock absorber lower end.
  4.  
  5. Compress the shock as far as it will go.
  6.  
  7. On the 18 and Fuego, remove the brake hose clips from the rear axle.
  8.  
  9. Jack up the rear of the car to allow the axle to drop and the spring to be pulled out and down.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal. Make certain that the lower open coil end is against the stop on the spring pad.
