Vehicle Speed Output Circuit

Possible Causes:

If any additional powertrain DTCs are stored, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information.

For intermittent diagnosis, refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

Trouble Code: P0615

Starter Relay Control Circuit

Possible Causes:

Ignition system DTCs set with the ignition switch in the Crank position if the starter relay or the starter is inoperative. When the ECM enables starter operation, the ECM also initiates the diagnostic test routines for DTCs P0335, P0340, and P0385. If a condition exists which prevents the engine from cranking, the ECM will not receive signal input from the crankshaft position (CKP) and camshaft position (CMP) sensors, and the DTCs will set. Reviewing the Fail Records vehicle mileage since the diagnostic test last failed may assist in diagnosing the condition. The information may help determine how often the condition that set the DTC occurs.

Trouble Code: P0616

Starter Relay Control Circuit Low Voltage

Trouble Code: P0617

Starter Relay Control Circuit High Voltage

Trouble Code: P0621

Generator L-Terminal Circuit

Trouble Code: P0622

Trouble Code: P0641

5-Volt Reference 1 Circuit

Trouble Code: P0645

Air Conditioning (A/C) Clutch Relay Control Circuit

Possible Causes:

Important: Inspect PCM/ECM engine grounds for being secure and clean. If DTC P0645 cannot be duplicated, review the Failure Records. Observe the vehicle mileage since the diagnostic test last failed. This may help to determine how often the condition which caused the DTC to set occurs. This may assist in diagnosing the condition. If the condition is intermittent, refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections .

Trouble Code: P0650

Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Control Circuit

Trouble Code: P0651

5-Volt Reference 2 Circuit

Trouble Code: P0713

Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) Sensor Circuit High Voltage

Trouble Code: P0716

Input Speed Sensor Performance

Possible Causes:

Ensure the wiring harness is not stretched too tightly or other components are pressing on the A/T inline 20-way connector body. Also inspect for proper clearance to any other components and wiring. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections .

Trouble Code: P0717

Input Speed Sensor Circuit Low Voltage

Possible Causes:

Ensure the wiring harness is not stretched too tightly or other components are pressing on the A/T inline 20-way connector body. Also inspect for proper clearance to any other components and wiring. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections .

Trouble Code: P0719

Brake Switch Circuit Low Voltage

Trouble Code: P0724

Brake Switch Circuit High Voltage

Trouble Code: P0741

Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) System - Stuck Off

Possible Causes:

Prior to replacing the torque converter, refer to the Torque Converter Replacement Guide .

Residue or contamination may cause valves to stick intermittently.

Trouble Code: P0742

Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) System - Stuck On

Possible Causes:

The customer may notice an engine stalling condition.

If the scan tool indicated TCC release pressure was present in Step 2 and a mechanical or hydraulic condition was not found in Step 8, an intermittent short to ground condition may exist in the TCC release switch signal circuit. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections .

Do not replace the torque converter for this condition, refer to Torque Converter Replacement Guide for other concerns.

Residue or contamination may cause valves to stick intermittently.

Trouble Code: P0748

Pressure Control (PC) Solenoid Control Circuit

Trouble Code: P0751

1-2 Shift Solenoid Valve Performance - No First or Fourth Gear
