Front Turn Signal & Parking Lights

This is a general procedure and applies to all models and types covered by this guide. A few steps may need to be slightly altered to comply with your particular vehicle.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. To replace the bulb, reach up and in behind the bumper or access the bulb from the engine compartment in front of the radiator, as applicable. You may also access the bulb by removing the light bezel/grille assembly.
  4.  
  5. Twist the lamp socket counterclockwise until it can be pulled backward and out from the housing.
  6.  
  7. Either pull the light bulb from the socket or lightly depress the bulb and turn it counterclockwise to release it from the socket, as applicable.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. During installation, make sure that the light bulb contacts are clean and free of corrosion.
  10.  
  11. Connect the negative battery cable, then check light operation.
  12.  

Side Marker Lights

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the light bezel/grille assembly.
  4.  
  5. Twist the lamp socket counterclockwise until it can be pulled away from the housing.
  6.  
  7. As applicable, carefully pull the light bulb from the socket or lightly depress the bulb and turn it counterclockwise to release it from the socket.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. During installation, make sure that the light bulb contacts are clean and free of corrosion.
  10.  
  11. Connect the negative battery cable, then check the light operation.
  12.  

Rear Turn Signal, Brake and Parking Lights

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Some vehicles are equipped with lenses that are attached with screws accessible from the rear. To remove these, simply unfasten the screws, then remove the lens.
  4.  
  5. On some vehicles, you must open the trunk lid, then twist the socket to release it from the housing.
  6.  
  7. Once the lens is removed or the socket released, as applicable, the bulb can be replaced by carefully pulling it from the socket, or by depressing it, turning it counterclockwise, and removing it from the socket.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. During installation, make sure that the light bulb contacts are clean and free of corrosion.
  10.  
  11. Connect the negative battery cable, then check light operation.

Dome Light

  3. Remove the dome light cover by unfastening the retaining screws, or prying the cover off, as applicable.

  5. Remove the bulb and replace with a new one.
  6.  
  7. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. During installation, make sure that the light bulb contacts are clean and free of corrosion.

  9. Connect the negative battery cable, then check light operation.

License Plate Lights

  5. Lower the lamp socket, then remove the light bulb.
