Height Sensor



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Be sure that the attaching link is securely connected to the sensor actuating arm when any adjustments are made.

  5. Loosen the locknut that secures the metal sensor arm to the plastic sensor arm bracket.
  6.  
  7. To raise the vehicle trim height, move the plastic arm upward to the top of the slot and retighten the locknut.
  8.  
  9. To lower the vehicle trim height, move the plastic arm to the bottom of the slot and retighten the locknut
  10.  

Height Sensor Operational Check



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Cycle the ignition OFF then ON. This will assure resetting the height sensor timing circuits.
  4.  
  5. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
    NOTE
    Be sure that the rear wheels or axle housing are supported as close as possible to trim height dimensions.

  6.  
  7. Check that the wiring is properly and securely connected to the height sensor and that the harness ground wire is secure.

  9. Disconnect the link from the height sensor arm.
  10.  
  11. Move the sensor arm up. There should be a 7-14 second delay before the compressor turns ON and the shock starts to inflate. As soon as the shock boots noticeably fill, stop the compressor by moving the sensor arm down.

  13. Move the sensor arm down below the position where the compressor stopped. There should be a 7-14 second delay before the shocks start to deflate and the vehicle lowers.
