Brake Disc (Rotor)



Removal & Installation
  1. Raise and support the front of the vehicle safely using jackstands under the frame.
  2.  
  3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
  4.  
  5. Unfasten the caliper anchor bracket bolts, then remove the brake caliper mounting and anchor assembly from the mounting plate. Do not disconnect the brake line; instead wire the caliper out of the way with the line still connected.
  6.  
  7. Remove the brake disc (rotor) from the wheel hub. It my help to slowly turn the rotor to ease in removal.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Inspect the disc for nicks, scores and/or damage, then replace if necessary.
  2.  
  3. Install the disc over the wheel hub studs.
  4.  
  5. Install the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly onto the rotor and mounting plate. Tighten the anchor bracket bolts to 52 ft. lbs. (70 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
  8.  
  9. Remove the jackstands and carefully lower the vehicle. DO NOT attempt to move the vehicle unless a firm brake pedal is felt.

Brake Pads



Removal & Installation
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    2 / 3 of the brake fluid from the master cylinder
     
    Wheels
     

  4.  
  5. Place a C-clamp around the outer pad and caliper; tighten the C-clamp until the piston is fully compressed in the caliper.

    Top caliper retainer, and rotate caliper away from rotor
     
    Inboard pad and retaining spring from the caliper
     
    Outboard pad from the caliper
     

  6.  

To install:

  1. Clean and lubricate the sleeves and bushing with silicone lubricant
  2.  
  3. Install or connect the following:

    Sleeves and bushings into the caliper
     
    Clip the retaining spring onto the inboard pad and install the pad in the caliper
     
    Outboard pad into the caliper
     
    Caliper in position over the rotor and install the mounting bolts
     
    Wheel and tire assemblies
     

  4.  
  5. Refill the master cylinder and pump pedal to attain full brake pedal before Road-testing the vehicle.
