Hydraulic System Bleeding



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Connect a hose to the slave cylinder bleeder valve. Place the other end of the hose in a suitable jar partially filled with brake fluid.
  4.  
  5. Fill the master cylinder with brake fluid.
  6.  
  7. Open the bleeder valve on the slave cylinder 1/2 turn.12
  8.  
  9. Place a cooling system pressure tester gauge over the opening of the master cylinder.
  10.  
  11. Pump the tester until all air is expelled from the hydraulic clutch system.
  12.  
  13. Close the slave cylinder bleeder valve.
  14.  
  15. Check that all air was removed from the system and the clutch is functioning properly. Adjust the fluid level, as required.
