  19. Adjust tensioning pulley by hand to belt does not jump. Adjust belt counterclockwise. Check that timing reference marks on belt still align with timing marks on camshaft sprockets and crankshaft. Remove belt setting tool.
  20.
  21. Use a belt tension meter 83 93 985 to measure timing belt tension. If adjustment is needed, tighten center bolts of adjuster rollers lightly. Adjust lower roller counterclockwise until tension of 203-222 ft. lbs. (275-300 Nm) is obtained. Tighten roller bolts to 30 ft. lbs. (40 Nm).
  22.
  23. Check that adjusting nut on upper adjusting roller rotates freely. Adjust tensioning pulley with a 5mm Allen key until the 2 lines on the tensioning pulley correspond with each other. Tighten to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).
  24.
  25. Remove the locking tool for camshaft sprockets No. 1 and No. 2. Fit tool KM-800-20, then adjust upper adjusting roller counterclockwise with tool 83 94 983 until markings on camshaft sprockets are aligned with corresponding markings on tool KM-800-20. Use a counterstay 83 94 983. Tighten roller to 30 ft. lbs. (40 Nm).
  26.
  27. Remove all locking tools and KM-800-20.
  28.
  29. Rotate engine 2 revolutions in direction of rotation until just before the zero mark. Fit locking tool KM-800-10 on crankshaft.
  30.
  31. Carefully rotate crankshaft in direction of rotation until arm is lying against water pump, and tighten it.
  32.
  33. Fit tool KM-800-20 and ensure markings on camshaft sprockets are opposite markings on the tool. Ensure edge of the timing belt is aligned with the edge of the sprocket.
  34.
  35. Install or connect the following:

Crankshaft pulley. Torque bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm)

Timing cover. Torque bolts to 6 ft. lbs. (8 Nm)

    Auxiliary drive belt tensioner

    Alternator air intake

Water pump pulley (install bolts loosely)

Power steering pump pulley (install bolts loosely)

    Auxiliary drive belt

Tighten water pump pulley bolts to 6 ft. lbs. (8 Nm)

Tighten power steering pump pulley bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm)

Right side engine attachment with bracket and engine mount. Torque bolt to body to 47 ft. lbs. (63 Nm)

    Power steering hose into holder

    MAF sensor with hose

  36.
  37. Carefully remove the 2 wedges from the subframe.
  38.
  39. Install the lower spoiler sections.
  40.
  41. Start engine and check operations and for leaks.
