Evacuating the System

Draining

  1. Remove the protective covers for the service valves on the high and low pressure pipes.
  2.  
  3. Connect the blue hose to the low pressure pipe. Connect the red hose to the high pressure pipe.
  4.  
  5. The snap-on couplings are shaped like so-called "Schrader valves" and the connection therefore takes place in two stages:

    Fit the snap-on coupling to the service connection.
     
    Turn the knob clockwise to open the valve and let the refrigerant pass through the connection.

  7. Start draining the system. Follow the instructions for each respective machine. Note the quantity of drained compressor oil.
  8.  
  9. Turn off the cocks and disconnect from the machine.
  10.  
  11. Fit the protective covers for the service valves in the high and low pressure pipes.
  12.  

Filling

  1. Remove the protective covers for the service valves from the high and low pressure pipes.
  2.  
  3. Connect the blue hose to the low pressure pipe. Connect the red hose to the high pressure pipe.
  4.  
  5. The snap-on couplings are shaped like so-called "Schrader valves" and the connection therefore takes place in two stages:

    Fit the snap-on coupling to the service connection.
     
    Turn the knob clockwise to open the valve and let the refrigerant pass through the connection.

  7. For manual and semi-automatic filling : Fill with compressor oil and tracing agent.
  8.  
  9. For fully automatic filling: Fill with compressor oil and tracing agent in accordance with the machine's instructions.
  10.  
  11. Start filling the system. Follow the instructions for each respective machine.
  12.  
  13. Turn off the cocks and disconnect from the machine.
  14.  
  15. Fit the service valves on the high and low pressure pipes.
