  12.
  13. Fill up the system with fresh fluid as per specification.
    NOTE
Do not turn the steering wheel when filling up reservoir. Air can get into the system and cause longer bleed times.

    WARNING
Do not run the engine for longer than 5 seconds, damage may occur to the pump.

  14.
  15. Run the engine for 5 seconds.
  16.
  17. Check the fluid level in the reservoir and top up as necessary. At 68°, it should be midway between the MAX and MIN marks.
  18.
  19. Start the engine again and run it until the fluid in the reservoir stops bubbling. Use a flashlight to see properly. If there is an abnormally loud noise, this indicates that there is still air in the system.
  20.
  21. Stop the engine and check the fluid level. Top up as necessary.
  22.
  23. Check the pump connections for leaks.

  17. Connect the return hose to the power steering fluid reservoir and fit the reservoir back in place.
    NOTE
The position of the reservoir is fixed.

  18.
