Trailing Arm

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



See Figure 1

  1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it safely using jackstands, then remove the rear wheel(s).
  2.  
  3. Remove the trailing arm-to-knuckle nut.
  4.  
  5. Remove the trailing arm body bolts.
  6.  
  7. Slide the trailing arm from the knuckle.
  8.  

To install:
  1. Install the trailing arm into the knuckle and hand-tighten the fastener nut.
  2.  
  3. Position the arm to the body, then install and tighten the body bolts to 89 ft. lbs. (120 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Tighten the trailing arm-to-knuckle nut to 74 ft. lbs. (100 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Install the rear wheel(s).
  8.  
  9. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
  10.
