Rear

  1. Remove the rear door rear guide bracket garnish, as follows:
    1. Using a heat light, carefully heat the molding to about 68-86 °F (20-30°C)
      WARNING
      Do not heat the molding excessively.

    2.  
    3. Using a suitable prytool, disengage the tape.
      NOTE
      If you plan to reuse the molding, take care not to damage it. Be careful not to damage the body.

    4.  
    5. Using a suitable prytool, disengage the 3 clips and 2 claws, and remove the garnish.
    6.

  3. Remove rear door armrest base panel, as follows:
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 8 claws and clip, and remove the armrest base panel together with the switch.
    2.  
    3. Disconnect the switch connector.
    4.  
    5. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the switch from the armrest upper base panel.
    6.

  5. Remove the rear trim panel, as follows:
    1. Remove the screw as shown in the illustration.
    2.  
    3. Using a clip remover, remove the 7 clips.

    5. Remove the trim panel upward and out of the vehicle.
      NOTE
      To prevent the door panel from being damaged, use protective tape to cover the areas shown by the arrow marks in the illustration.

    7. Using a prytool, carefully disengage the claws and remove the inner weatherstrip.
    8.

  7. Remove rear door inside handle, as follows:
    1. Using a prytool, carefully disengage claw a.
    2.  
    3. Move the inside handle in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration. This will release the claw and allow for removal of the inside handle.

    5. Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.
    6.

  9. Remove rear door service hole cover, as follows:
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and bracket.
    2.  
    3. Disconnect the 2 connectors.
    4.  
    5. Using a prytool, carefully remove the clip indicted by the arrow and wire.
    6.  
    7. Remove the service hole cover.
      NOTE
      Remove the remaining tape on the door side.

    8.

  11. Remove rear door glass outer weatherstrip.
  12.  
  13. Remove rear door window frame rear molding.
  14.  
  15. If necessary, remove rear speaker:
    1. Using a drill with a diameter of less than 4 mm (0.16 in.), drill out the 3 rivet heads and remove the speaker.
      NOTE
      Be sure to gently place the drill perpendicular to the rivet to prevent the rivet hole and the drill itself from being damaged. Be careful as the cut rivet will be hot.

    3. Even if the flange is taken off, continue drilling and push out the remaining fragments using the drill.
    4.  
    5. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the drilled rivet and dust from the inside of the door.
    6.

  17. Remove rear door window frame:
    1. Temporarily install the power window regulator switch.
    2.  
    3. Lower the glass as it lower.
    4.  
    5. Remove the glass run.
    6.  
    7. Remove the bolt, nut and frame.
    8.  
    9. Remove the power window regulator switch.
    10.

  19. Remove rear door glass:
    1. Remove the glass from the regulator.
      WARNING
      Be careful not to damage the glass.

    2.

  21. Remove the rear door window regulator assembly:
    1. Disconnect the window regulator connector.
    2.  
    3. Loosen bolt A as shown in the illustration.

    5. Remove the 3 bolts, then remove the window regulator through the service hole.
      WARNING
      Be careful when removing the bolts as the window regulator may fall and become damaged.

    7. Remove bolt a from the window regulator.

  23. Separate the power window regulator motor using a T25 Torx® driver to remove the 3 screws and motor.

  1. Installation is, for the most part, the reverse of the removal procedure, with the following exceptions that require some additional steps:

  3. Install power window regulator motor, as follows:
    1. Using a Torx®driver, install the motor with the 3 screws and tighten to 48 inch lbs. (5.4 Nm).
    2.

  5. Install the window regulator assembly into the door:
    1. Apply mp grease to the sliding and rotating areas of the window regulator.
      NOTE
      Do not apply grease to the spring of the window regulator.

    2.  
    3. Loosely screw bolt a onto the window regulator.
    4.  
    5. Insert the window regulator into the door panel. Use bolt A to hang the window regulator on the door panel.
    6.  
    7. Install the window regulator with the 3 bolts and bolt a. Tighten to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
    8.  
    9. Connect the window regulator connector.
      WARNING
      Do not drop the window regulator.


      WARNING
      Be careful to damage the door glass.

  7. Install the door glass in the regulator.
  8.  
  9. Install rear door window frame with the bolt and nut and tighten to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).

  11. Install rear speaker as follows:
    1. Install the rear speaker to the door.
    2.  
    3. Using an air riveter or hand riveter, install the rear speaker with 3 new rivets.
      NOTE
      Do not prize the riveter. The riveter will be damaged and the mandrel will bend. Do not tilt the riveter when fastening the rivet to the speaker as this will cause the rivet to be loose. Do not have any space between the rivet head and the speaker. The rivet head must be completely flat against the speaker. Do not allow any space between the speaker and door. Firmly hold together the 2 items while installing the rivet.

    5. Connect the speaker connector.

  13. Install rear door service hole cover:
    1. Apply butyl tape to the door, as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the service hole cover.
      NOTE
      When installing the service hole cover, pull out the links and connectors through the service hole cover. There should be no wrinkles or folds after attaching the service hole cover. After attaching the service hole cover, check for proper sealing.

    5. Connect the 2 connectors and install the wire.
    6.  
    7. Install the bracket with the 2 bolts.
    8.

  15. Install rear door rear guide bracket garnish, as follows:
    1. Using a shop rag, remove the tape from the garnish.
    2.  
    3. Clean the contact surface of the door panel with shop rag saturated with a suitable solvent.
    4.  
    5. Clean the outer circumference of the garnish with a suitable solvent.
    6.  
    7. Using a heat light, heat the garnish to 68-86 °F (30-30°C)
      WARNING
      Do not heat the garnish excessively.

    8.  
    9. Apply new double-sided tape to the garnish, as shown in the illustration.

    11. Using a heat light, heat the door panel and garnish to 68-86 °F (20-30°C).
      WARNING
      Do not heat the door panel and garnish excessively.

    13. Remove the peeling paper from the molding face.
      NOTE
      Be careful that dirt or foreign objects do not stick to the adhesive when removing the peeling paper.

    14.  
    15. Install the garnish. Using steady pressure with your thumbs on the garnish, not excessive force.
    16.

  1. Remove the screw, and then remove the door pull handle upward.
  2.  
  3. Remove power window regulator switch, as follows:
    1. Using a prytool, carefully disengage the 2 claws labeled A in the illustration. Remove the armrest base panel upper together with the switch.
    2.  
    3. Using a prytool, carefully disengage the 2 claws labeled B in the illustration. Remove the switch.

  5. Remove the rear door trim, as follows:
    1. Remove the screw.
    2.  
    3. Using a clip remover, disengage the 7 clips.
    4.  
    5. Remove the trim panel upward.
      NOTE
      In order to prevent the door panel from being damaged, use protective tape to cover the areas shown by the arrow marks in the illustration.

    7. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claws, and remove the inner weatherstrip.

  7. Remove rear door inside handle, as follows:
    1. Using a prytool, carefully disengage claw a as shown in the illustration.
    2.  
    3. Move the inside handle as shown by the arrow mark in the illustration. This will release the claw and allow you to remove the inside handle.

    5. Disconnect the rod from the inside handle.

  9. Remove rear door service hole cover screws and bracket, then remove the service hole cover.
    NOTE
    Remove the remaining tape on the door.

  11. Remove the rear door glass outer weatherstrip.
  12.  
  13. Remove rear door window division bar, as follows:
    NOTE
    Insert a cushion inside the door panel to prevent the glass from getting scratched.


    WARNING
    Be careful not to damage the glass.

    1. Temporarily install the power window regulator switch.
    2.  
    3. Lower the glass as much as possible.
    4.  
    5. Remove the glass run.
    6.  
    7. Remove the 2 bolts and screw.
    8.  
    9. Rotate the division bar and remove it, as shown by the arrows in the illustration.

  15. Remove rear door quarter window glass, as follows:
    1. Remove the window glass as shown by the arrow in the illustration.
      WARNING
      Do not damage the glass.

    3. Remove the quarter window glass weatherstrip.

  17. Remove the rear door glass, as follows:
    1. Carefully pull the door glass upward and remove it from the door panel.
      NOTE
      Insert a cushion inside the door panel to prevent the door glass from being scratched.

  19. Remove rear door window regulator assembly, as follows:
    1. Detach the window regulator connector.
    2.  
    3. Remove the 4 bolts and window regulator through the service hole.
      WARNING
      Be careful when removing the bolts as the window regulator may fall and become damaged.

  21. Remove power window regulator motor Torx® screws, then remove the regulator motor.

to install:

  1. Installation is, for the most part, the reverse of the removal procedure, with the following exceptions that require some additional steps:

  3. Install power window regulator motor:
    1. Using a Torx® driver (T25), install the motor with the 3 screws and tighten to 49 inch lbs. (5.5 Nm).
    2.  

  4.  
  5. Install the window regulator assembly, as follows:
    1. Apply mp grease to the sliding and rotating areas of the window regulator.
      WARNING
      Do not apply grease to the spring of the window regulator.

    2.  
    3. Install the window regulator with the 4 bolts and tighten to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
    4.  
    5. Connect the window regulator connector.
      WARNING
      Be careful not to drop the window regulator or it may be damaged.

    6.

  7. Install rear door glass:
    WARNING
    Do not drop or damage the glass.

    1. Install the door glass into the door panel.
      NOTE
      Insert a cushion inside the door panel to prevent the door glass from being scratched.

    2.

  9. Install rear door quarter window glass:
    1. Install the quarter window weatherstrip on the glass.
      WARNING
      Do not drop or damage the glass.

    2.  
    3. Install the quarter window glass as shown by the arrow in the illustration.

    5. Mount the door glass to the window regulator along the glass run.

  11. Install the rear door window division bar:
    1. Insert the division bar into the door panel and then rotate it by 90°, as shown by the arrow marks in the illustration.

    3. Install the division bar with the 2 bolts and screw and tighten to 44 inch lbs. (5 Nm).

    5. Install the glass run.

  13. Check the power window operation:
    1. Connect the power window switch to the wire harness and turn the ignition switch ON .
    2.  
    3. Check that the power window control operates normally by performing the power window control switch up/down operation several times.
    4.

  15. Install rear door service hole cover:
    1. Apply butyl tape to the door, as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install a new service hole cover, then install the bracket with the 2 screws.
      NOTE
      When installing the service hole cover, pull out the links and connectors through the service hole cover. There should be no wrinkles or folds after attaching the service hole cover. After attaching the service hole cover, check for proper sealing.

  1. Make sure the ignition switch if OFF , then disconnect the negative battery cable. Wait AT

  3. Remove front door lower frame bracket garnish, using a prytool to detach the clip and claw
  4.  
  5. Remove assist grip cover by using a prytool to detach the 11 claws.
  6.  
  7. Remove front armrest upper base panel:
  8.  
  9. For the driver-s side, use a prytool to detach the clip and 4 claws, and remove the armrest base panel with the with the window regulator master switch. Detach the connector, then remove the 3 screws and remove the power window master switch from the armrest.
    WARNING
    Be careful when removing the screw as the master switch can fall and become damaged.

    1. For the passenger-s side, use a prytool to detach the clip and 5 claws, and remove the armrest base panel together with the power window regulator switch, detach the switch connector, then detach the 2 claws and remove the switch from the armrest.

  11. Initialize the power window regulator motor, as outlined in this section.

  1. Remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish, as follows:
    1. Using a suitable prytool, or taped screwdriver, disengage the clip and claw, and remove the garnish.

  3. Remove the front armrest upper base panel upper, as follows:
    1. Using a prytool or taped screwdriver, disengage the 12 claws and 2 clips, and remove the armrest base panel together with the switch.

    3. Detach the switch connector.

    5. For the driver-s side, remove the 3 screws and the power window master switch from the armrest upper base panel.
      WARNING
      Be careful when removing the screw so the switch doesn-t fall and become damaged.

    7. For the passenger-s side, use a suitable prytool to disengage the 2 claws and remove the power window regulator switch.
      WARNING
      Be careful when disengaging the claws as the switch may fall and become damaged.

  3. Remove the screw, and then remove the pull handle upward.

    1. Using a prytool, carefully disengage the clip and claw, and remove the armrest upper base panel together with the switch.
    2.  
    3. Disconnect the switch connector.
    4.  
    5. Remove the 3 screws and the switch from the armrest upper base panel.
      WARNING
      Be careful when removing the screw as the master switch may fall and become damaged.

  7. For the passenger-s side, use a prytool and disengage the 2 claws and remove the power window regulator switch.
    WARNING
    Be careful when disengaging the claws as the switch may fall and become damaged.
