Removal & Installation



  1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the engine intake manifold.
  4.  
  5. Remove the vacuum hose.
  6.  

To install:


NOTE
Inspect the vacuum hose and internal one-way check valve before installation.


NOTE
Because the vacuum hose contains a one-way check valve, the hose must be installed in the correct position. Refer to the stamp on the hose to confirm the correct direction for installation. The brake booster will not operate normally if the hose is installed in the wrong direction.


NOTE
Do not use lubricating oil during assembly.


NOTE
Insert the vacuum hose at least 0.94 inch (24 mm) onto the brake booster fitting.

  1. Install the vacuum hose.

  3. Connect the vacuum hose to the engine intake manifold.

  5. Connect the vacuum hose to the brake booster.
