High-Pressure Flexible Hose



Specific to:

Nissan Sentra 2007-2012

  1. Discharge the refrigerant. Refer to Air Conditioning System Maintenance in the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning Section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the high-pressure flexible hose. Refer to the accompanying illustrations.
    NOTE
    Cap or wrap the joint of the hose with a suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of contaminants.

To install:


NOTE
Cap or wrap the joint of the hose with a suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of contaminants.

  1. Install the high-pressure flexible hose. Refer to the accompanying illustrations.
  2.  
  3. Charge the refrigerant. Refer to Air Conditioning System Maintenance in the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning Section.
    NOTE
    Replace the O-ring of the high-pressure flexible hose with a new one, then apply A/C oil to it for installation.


    NOTE
    After charging the refrigerant, check for leaks. Refer to Air Conditioning System Maintenance in the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning Section.

  4.  

High-Pressure Pipe



Specific to:

Nissan Sentra 2007-2012

  1. Discharge the refrigerant. Refer to Air Conditioning System Maintenance in the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning Section.
  2.  
  3. Reposition the lower dash insulator.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the low-pressure flexible hose bracket to reposition it out of the way.
  6.  
  7. Remove the high-pressure pipe. Refer to the accompanying illustrations.
    NOTE
    Cap or wrap the joint of the pipe with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.

To install:


NOTE
Remove Cap or wrapping from the joint of the pipe such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.

  1. Install the high-pressure pipe. Refer to the accompanying illustrations.
  2.  
  3. Connect the low-pressure flexible hose bracket to reposition it out of the way.
  4.  
  5. Reposition the lower dash insulator.
  6.  
  7. Charge the refrigerant. Refer to Air Conditioning System Maintenance in the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning Section.
    NOTE
    Replace the O-ring of the high-pressure pipe with a new one, then apply compressor oil to it when installing it.


    NOTE
    After charging the refrigerant, check for leaks. Refer to Air Conditioning System Maintenance in the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning Section.

  8.  

Low-Pressure Flexible Hose And Muffler Pipe



Specific to:

Nissan Sentra 2007-2012

The 2.5L Engine is equipped with a two piece low-pressure flexible hose and muffler pipe. The 2.0L Engine is a one piece low-pressure flexible hose and muffler assembly.

  1. Discharge the refrigerant. Refer to Air Conditioning System Maintenance in the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning Section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the cowl extension panel (2.5L only). Refer to Cowl Top Panel in Exterior in the Body Section.
  4.  
  5. Reposition the lower dash insulator.
  6.  
  7. Remove the low-pressure flexible hose (with muffler on 2.0L only) and muffler pipe as an assembly (2.5L only). Refer to the accompanying illustrations.
    NOTE
    Cap or wrap the joint of the hose with a suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of contaminants.

  9. Separate the low-pressure flexible hose and muffler pipe as necessary (2.5L only).
    NOTE
    Cap or wrap the joint of the hose with a suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of contaminants.

  1. Install the low-pressure flexible hose and muffler pipe as necessary (2.5L only).
    NOTE
    Cap or wrap the joint of the hose with a suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of contaminants.

  2.  
  3. Install the low-pressure flexible hose (with muffler on 2.0L only) and muffler pipe as an assembly (2.5L only). Refer to the accompanying illustrations.
  4.  
  5. Reposition the lower dash insulator.
  6.  
  7. Install the cowl extension panel (2.5L only). Refer to Cowl Top Panel in Exterior in the Body Section.
  8.  
  9. Charge the refrigerant. Refer to Air Conditioning System Maintenance in the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning Section.
    NOTE
    Replace the O-rings on the low-pressure flexible hose and muffler pipe with new ones, then apply A/C oil to them for installation.


    NOTE
    After recharging the refrigerant, check for leaks. Refer to Air Conditioning System Maintenance in the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning.
