Removal & Installation

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions.
  2.  
  3. Discharge refrigerant from refrigeration system
  4.  
  5. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose.
  6.  
  7. Loosen the nut and disconnect the liquid tube.
    NOTE
    Cap open the fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.

  9. Remove radiator grill.
  10.  
  11. Remove 2 upper radiator supports.
  12.  
  13. Remove condenser.
    1. Remove the 2 nuts from condenser brackets.
    2.  
    3. Push the radiator toward engine.
    4.  
    5. Push the condenser toward radiator and pull it upward.

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  2.  
  3. If condenser is replaced, add compressor oil to the compressor.
  4.  
  5. Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the tubes.
  6.  
  7. Tighten bolts/nuts to specification as follows:

    Discharge hose: 7 ft. lbs. (10 Nm)
     
    Liquid tube: 10 ft. lbs. (14 Nm)
