Fuel Level Sensor 1 Circuit Low Voltage

Possible Causes:



Use the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data in order to locate an intermittent condition. If you cannot duplicate the DTC, the information included in the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data may help in determining the number of miles since the DTC set. The Fail Counter and Pass Counter can also help in determining the number of ignition cycles that the diagnostic test reported a pass and/or fail. Operate the vehicle within the same freeze frame conditions, including those for RPM, for engine load, for vehicle speed, for temperature, and for others. This will isolate at what point the DTC failed. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections .

Possible Causes:



Inspect for ABS DTCs. A faulty ABS condition may contribute to setting DTC P0503.

Possible Causes:



Aftermarket trailer brake controllers must be disconnected before diagnosing DTC P0504 due to they could result in incorrect diagnostics.
 
Check for intermittents and poor connections. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections .
 

Trouble Code: P0506



Idle Speed Low

Possible Causes:

Inspect for the following conditions:



High resistance in an IAC valve control circuit
 
Restricted air intake system
 
Proper operation and installation of all air intake components
 
Collapsed, clogged, or loose air intake ducts
 
A clogged air filter
 
Proper operation of the mass air flow (MAF) sensor, if equipped
 
A tampered with or damaged throttle stop screw
 
A tampered with or damaged throttle plate, throttle shaft, or throttle linkage
 
Objects blocking the IAC passage or throttle bore
 
Excessive deposits in the IAC passage or on the IAC pintle
 
Excessive deposits in the throttle bore or on the throttle plate
 
Vacuum leaks
 
A low or unstable idle condition could be caused by a non-IAC system problem that can not be overcome by the IAC valve. Refer to Symptoms - Engine Controls .

Idle Speed High

Possible Causes:

Inspect for the following conditions:



High resistance in an IAC valve control circuit
 
The correct positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve, properly installed and proper operation of the PCV valve
 
Proper operation and installation of all air intake components
 
Proper installation and operation of the mass air flow (MAF) sensor, if equipped
 
A tampered with or damaged throttle stop screw
 
A tampered with or damaged throttle plate, throttle shaft, throttle linkage, or cruise control linkage, if equipped
 
A skewed high throttle position (TP) sensor
 
Excessive deposits in the IAC passage or on the IAC pintle
 
Excessive deposits in the throttle bore or on the throttle plate
 
Vacuum leaks
 
A high or unstable idle condition could be caused by a non-IAC system problem that can not be overcome by the IAC valve. Refer to Symptoms - Engine Controls .

When diagnosing for an intermittent short or open, massage the wiring harness while watching the test equipment for a change.You may have to drive the vehicle in order to experience a condition.Inspect for the presence of aftermarket accessories, such as a remote starter, etc. Depending on how these aftermarket accessories are installed, they may interfere with the required voltage for proper operation of the transmission.
