Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) - Stuck On

Possible Causes:



P0742
 
The TCM detects the TCC slip between -20 and +40 RPM for 4 seconds when the TCC is commanded OFF. This must occur 3 times.

Possible Causes:

The following conditions occur 3 times in one ignition cycle:
 
The TCC slip is between -20 to +40 RPM for 6 seconds.

Possible Causes:



The TCM detects second gear ratio is achieved.

Possible Causes:

Both of the following conditions must occur twice during the same trip:
 
The TCM commands 1st gear and the resulting gear ratio is 1.54:1-1.71:1 for 2 seconds.
 
The TCM commands 4th gear and the resulting gear ratio is 0.95:1-1.05:1 for 3 seconds.

Shift Solenoid (SS) 1 Valve Performance - Stuck On

Possible Causes:



The commanded gear is third.
 
The attained gear slip is equal to or greater than 75 RPM for 2 seconds.
 
The TFP Switch 5 does not change states after third gear command.

Possible Causes:

The TCM commands 2nd gear and the resulting gear ratio is 2.91:1-3.21:1 for 2.25 seconds.
 
The TCM commands 3rd gear and the resulting gear ratio is 0.66:1-0.73:1 for 3 seconds.

Shift Solenoid (SS) 2 Valve Performance - Stuck Off

Possible Causes:



Commanded gear is 1st locked.
 
Transmission gearbox slip is 200 RPM for 10 seconds.
 
Transmission forces 2nd gear.
 
Transmission has obtained a valid 2nd for 3 seconds.

2-3 Shift Solenoid (SS) Valve Performance - No First or Second Gear

Possible Causes:

Both of the following conditions must occur twice during the same trip:
 
The TCM commands 1st gear and the resulting gear ratio is 0.66:1-0.73:1 for 2 seconds.
 
The TCM commands 2nd gear and the resulting gear ratio is 0.95:1-1.05:1 for 3 seconds.

Both of the following conditions must occur twice during the same trip:
 
The TCM commands 3rd gear and the resulting gear ratio is 1.54:1-1.71:1 for 2 seconds.
 
The TCM commands 4th, when the engine torque is greater than 10 N·m (7 lb ft) and the resulting gear ratio is 2.91:1-3.21:1 for 2 seconds.

Possible Causes:

The TCM detects an incorrect on-coming clutch gear ratio, or flare, when the 3-5-R clutch is commanded On for 2.25 seconds and the transmission input shaft speed is greater than 60 to 100 RPM from the anticipated input shaft speed.

Clutch Pressure Control (PC) Solenoid 2 - Stuck On

Possible Causes:

The TCM detects an incorrect off-going clutch gear ratio, or tie-up, when the 3-5-R clutch is commanded Off for 1.2 seconds and the transmission input shaft speed is greater than 40 RPM from the anticipated input shaft speed.

Pressure Control Solenoid 2 (PCS2) Stuck On

Possible Causes:



DTC P0777 sets when the TCM detects the off-going clutch, controlled by PCS2, remains engaged during a forward range shift.

Possible Causes:

The following condition occurs for 5 seconds:
 
The TCM commands the solenoid OFF and the voltage feedback remains low, 0 volts.

The TCM detects an incorrect on-coming clutch gear ratio, or flare, when the low and reverse/4-5-6 clutch is commanded OFF for 0.5 seconds and the transmission input shaft speed is greater than 75 RPM from the anticipated input shaft speed.

Possible Causes:

The TCM detects an incorrect off-going clutch gear ratio, or tie-up, when the low and reverse/4-5-6 clutch is commanded ON for 0.5 seconds and the transmission input shaft speed is greater than 40 RPM from the anticipated input shaft speed.

TAP Up and Down Shift Switch Circuit Low

DTC P0827 sets when the transmission control module (TCM) detects a short to ground condition in the TAP up/down shift switch circuit for greater than 6 seconds when driver shift request is commanded.
