Condenser

Removal & Installation



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  4.  
  5. Properly discharge the air conditioning system.
  6.  
  7. Remove the fascia. Remove the radiator support bolts.
    NOTE
    Access the bolts from the rear of the upper radiator support.

  8.  
  9. Remove the compressor discharge hose from the condenser.
  10.  
  11. Disconnect the evaporator tube nut from the condenser.
  12.  
  13. Remove the insulator retainer bolts and the upper insulator retainers.
  14.  
  15. Remove the condenser from the vehicle.
  16.  
  17. Measure and record the condenser oil in the condenser.
  18.  

To install:

  1. Fill the condenser with the same amount of PAG oil that was removed.
  2.  
  3. Position the condenser to its mounting.
  4.  
  5. Continue the installation in the reverse order of the removal procedure.
  6.  
  7. Recharge the air conditioning system.
  8.  
  9. Inspect the system for leaks.
  10.
