Starter Relay Control Circuit High Voltage

Possible Causes:



On manual transmission vehicles, with the clutch fully depressed, the clutch pedal position sensor signals the ECM that conditions are acceptable for cranking. On automatic transmission vehicles, with the vehicle in Park or Neutral, the Park/Neutral Signal circuit is low. This indicates to the ECM that conditions are acceptable for cranking.

5-Volt Reference 1 Circuit

Possible Causes:



It may be possible to locate the fault by disconnecting one component at a time from the 5-volt reference circuit while viewing the 5-Volt Reference circuit parameter on the scan tool. The scan tool parameter would change from Fault to OK when the source of the fault is disconnected. If all 5-volt reference components have been disconnected and a Fault is still indicated, the fault may exist in the wiring harness.

Possible Causes:



5v VREF circuit is shorted to chassis or sensor ground
 
5v VREF circuit to FTP. CMP IMTV or TP sensor circuit is shorted to (B+)
 
Component failure

Possible Causes:



A/C relay control circuit is open, shorted to ground or to power
 
A/C relay power circuit is open (test the A/C CRUISE mini fuse)

Possible Causes:



It may be possible to locate the fault by disconnecting one component at a time from the 5-volt reference circuit while viewing the 5-Volt Reference circuit parameter on the scan tool. Possible Causes:



If a BCM has been replaced, the brake pedal position (BPP) sensor must be calibrated. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration .
 
This DTC may be stored as a history DTC without affecting the operation of the ECM. If stored only as a history DTC, do not replace the BCM or ECM.

Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) Sensor Performance

Possible Causes:



The DIC, if equipped, will display TRANSMISSION HOT - IDLE ENGINE when the transmission fluid temperature reaches 132°C (270°F). Ask the customer about possible overloading, exceeding the trailer towing limit, or towing in overdrive.

Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) System - Stuck Off

Possible Causes:

If the DTC is cleared, then will not reset when the vehicle is driven, some of the following conditions may exist:



Fluid contamination
 
Plugged fluid circuits
 
Restricted fluid circuits
 
Inspect transmission fluid lines to radiator. Lines may be pinched, plugged or twisted.
 
Refer to Shift Solenoid Valve State and Gear Ratio .
