Removal & Installation



  1. Unscrew the cap from the brake fluid reservoir.
  2.  
  3. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. Remove the front wheel.
  6.  
  7. Remove the wear indicator.
  8.  
  9. Remove the lower brake caliper guide pin bolt.
  10.  
  11. Rotate the caliper assembly upwards and remove the brake pads.

To install:

  1. Install the brake pads to the brake caliper.
  2.  
  3. Install the wear indicator and tighten the bolt to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Rotate the brake caliper down to the brake caliper adapter and tighten the guide pin bolt to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Bleed and brake system and check for leaks.
  8.  
  9. Install the front wheel.
  10.  
  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12.  

  1. Unscrew the cap from the brake fluid reservoir.
  2.  
  3. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. Remove the front wheel.
  6.  
  7. Remove the wear indicator.
  8.  
  9. Remove the lower brake caliper guide pin bolts and remove the caliper.
    WARNING
    Support the caliper assembly. Do not let the caliper hang by the brake hose.

  10.  
  11. Remove the brake pads from the caliper.
  12.  

To install:

  1. Install the brake pads.
  2.  
  3. Install the brake caliper to the brake caliper adapter. Tighten the guide pin bolts as follows:
    1. M8 bolts to 24 ft. lbs. (34 Nm).
    2.  
    3. M10 bolts to 48 ft. lbs. (65 Nm).
    4.  

  4.  
  5. Install the wear indicator and tighten the bolt to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Install the front wheels.
  8.  
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10.
