Multi-Function (Combination) Switch

Removal & Installataion



  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the steering wheel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the cruise control switch from the steering column.
  6.  
  7. Working through the access hole in the lower right surface of the steering column trim, remove the screw that secures the multi-function switch, mounting bracket and trim to the tab on the top of the steering column housing.
  8.  
  9. Pull the multi-function switch, mounting bracket and steering column trim off of the top of the steering column as a unit.
  10.  
  11. Working from the back of the unit, remove the screws that secure the multi-function switch to the mounting bracket and the steering column trim.
  12.  
  13. Remove the multi-function switch from the steering column trim.
  14.  

To install:

  1. Position the multi-function switch to the steering column trim and the mounting bracket.
  2.  
  3. Working from the back of the unit, install and tighten the screws that secure the multi-function switch to the steering column trim and the mounting bracket. Tighten the screws securely.
  4.  
  5. Position the multi-function switch, mounting bracket and steering column trim onto the top of the steering column as a unit.
  6.  
  7. Working through the access hole in the lower right surface of the steering column trim, install and tighten the screw that secures the multi-function switch, mounting bracket and trim to the tab on the top of the steering column. Tighten the screw securely.
  8.  
  9. Reinstall the speed control switch onto the steering column.
  10.  
  11. Reinstall the steering wheel.
  12.  
  13. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
  14.
