Cable Adjustment



  1. Loosen the bolts of the mounting brackets.
  2.  
  3. Insert a drill bit or an Allen wrench with a 6 mm diameter between the mounting bracket and front lever.
  4.  
  5. Push the mounting bracket back until the front brake cable is free of play and without tension.
  6.  
  7. Tighten the bolts to the mounting bracket Tighten to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Remove the 6 mm diameter drill bit or Allen wrench.
  10.  
  11. Tighten the hand brake lever one notch.
  12.  
  13. Clamp the eccentric clockwise until the wheels/disc brake rotors can still be turned with the force of the hand.
  14.  
  15. Tighten the clamp bolt.
  16.  
  17. Release the hand brake lever.
  18.  
  19. Check the wheel for free movement.
  20.  

Loosen Adjustment
  1. Release the load on the parking brake cables at the adjuster nut.
  2.  
  3. Push the cable adjuster all the way in direction of travel to loosen.
  4.  

Tighten Adjustment
  1. Adjust the parking brake shoes.
  2.  
  3. Actuate the hand brake lever several times with moderate force, then release and actuate to second notch. Tighten the adjusting nut of the cable adjuster until the rear wheels can just be turned by hand.
  4.  
  5. Actuate and release the park brake lever 3 times. The rear wheels must turn freely and without grinding the brake. If the rear wheels do not turn freely, the adjustment must be repeated.
