Main Bearing Torque Sequence



2.7L Engine

Install the crankshaft bearing caps. Tighten bolts in two stages. 40.5 ft. lbs. (55 Nm), then 90°.

3.0L Engines

Bolts for crankshaft bearing cap to crankshaft bearing body. Tighten bolts in three stages. Stage 1: tighten to 25 ft. lbs. (35 Nm); Stage 2: tighten 95°; Stage 3: tighten an additional 95°.
