Signal and Marker Lights

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Front Turn Signal and Parking Lights

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the 2 screws which secure the lens cover and gasket to the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. Pull the assembly out enough to access the lamp wire and plug.
  6.  
  7. Remove the lamp assembly by twisting counterclockwise and pulling out.
  8.  
  9. Depress and twist the bulb approximately 1 / 8 turn counterclockwise to remove from the socket.
  10.  

To install:
  1. Install the bulb by inserting it into the light socket and twisting clockwise.
  2.  
  3. Install the light assembly into the light assembly by inserting it into the hole and twisting clockwise slightly.
  4.  
  5. Install the trim light assembly and secure with the retainer screws.
  6.  
  7. Test to make sure the lights work correctly.
  8.  

Side Marker Lights

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. From inside the wheel arch, grasp the bulb and socket assembly and pull out.
  4.  
  5. Remove the lamp assembly by twisting counterclockwise and pulling out.
  6.  
  7. Depress and twist the bulb approximately 1 / 8 turn counterclockwise to remove from the socket.
  8.  

To install:
  1. Install the bulb by inserting it into the light socket and twisting clockwise.
  2.  
  3. Install the light and socket assembly into the lens by inserting it into the hole and pressing firmly.
  4.  
  5. Test to make sure the lights work correctly.
  6.  

Rear Turn Signal, Brake and Parking Lights

  1. Working from inside the trunk, remove the protective covering from the tail light panel, if equipped.
  2.  
  3. Remove the lamp assembly by twisting counterclockwise and pulling out.
  4.  
  5. Depress and twist the bulb approximately 1 / 8 turn counterclockwise to remove from the socket.
  6.  

To install:
  1. Install the bulb by inserting it into the light socket and twisting clockwise.
  2.  
  3. Install the light assembly into the bezel by inserting it into the hole and twisting clockwise slightly.
  4.  
  5. Install the cover over the light assembly.
  6.  
  7. Test to make sure the lights work correctly.
  8.  

High-Mount Brake Light

  1. Remove the retainer screws securing the lens cover to the lamp housing.
  2.  
  3. Pull the lens cover away from the lamp housing.
  4.  
  5. Pull the bulb straight out of the socket. This type of bulb does not have to be twisted out.
  6.  

To install:
  1. Insert a replacement bulb into the socket and press in place.
  2.  
  3. Attach the lens housing to the lamp assembly.
  4.  
  5. Secure the lamp and lens together with the retainer screws.
  6.  
  7. Test to make sure the lights work correctly.
  8.  

Dome Light

  1. Carefully remove the lens from the lamp assembly by prying in on the sides of the lens.
  2.  
  3. Remove the bulb from the retainer clips.
  4.  

To install:
  1. Insert the bulb into the retainer clips, making sure the bulb is seated firmly in each contact point.
  2.  
  3. Snap the lens into place.
  4.  
  5. Test to make sure the light works correctly.
  6.  

Cargo Lamp
  1. Remove the lens by squeezing in on the sides of the lens.
  2.  
  3. Depress the bulb and rotate it counterclockwise to remove it.
  4.  

To install:
  1. Insert a replacement bulb. Depress the bulb and turn clockwise to lock it in place.
  2.  
  3. Install the lens.
  4.  
  5. Test to make sure the light works correctly.
  6.  

License Plate Light
  1. Remove the 2 screws retaining the lamp to the rear panel.
  2.  
  3. Pull the lamp assembly out enough to remove the lenses and access the bulb.
  4.  
  5. Rotate the socket 1 / 4 turn counterclockwise from the backside of the lamp.
  6.  
  7. Pull the bulb straight out from the socket. Twisting is not needed on these type bulbs.
  8.  

To install:
  1. Insert the bulb into the socket. Twisting is not needed on these type bulbs.
  2.  
  3. Insert the socket into the lamp, and rotate it clockwise to lock in place.
  4.  
  5. Position the lens to the door panel and secure using the retainer screws.
  6.  
  7. Test to make sure the lights work correctly.
  8.
