Hydraulic Control Module

Removal & Installation



  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the air intake assembly.
  4.  
  5. Use an air gun to remove any water that may be around the hydraulic control module.
  6.  
  7. Pull on the lock of the control module connector to remove it.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the electrical connector of the control module.
  10.  
  11. Unlock the cable clip.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect the brake lines from the control module. Matchmark the brake lines before removal.
  14.  
  15. Remove the hydraulic control module from the engine compartment.
    CAUTION
    Do not drop or bump the Hydraulic Control Module.


    CAUTION
    Do not turn the Hydraulic Control Module upside down or place it sideways for storage.


    CAUTION
    Be careful that no foreign objects are mixed in the Hydraulic Control Module.

To install:

  1. Install the hydraulic control module into the engine compartment.
  2.  
  3. Connect the brake lines to the correct locations on the control module.
  4.  
  5. Using the cable clip, secure the wiring harness to the bracket.
  6.  
  7. Connect the electrical connector to the control module.
  8.  
  9. Install the air intake assembly.
  10.  
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
  12.  

The control module is integrated in the Hydraulic Control Module. Remove to -Hydraulic Control Module, Removal & Installation- for more information.
