Slave (Actuator) Cylinder

Removal & Installation



  1. Remove the air intake assembly.
  2.  
  3. Remove the intercooler, if equipped.
  4.  
  5. Remove the clutch hose from the slave cylinder.
    NOTE
    Immediately plug the hose to prevent fluid from spilling.

  6.  
  7. Remove the slave cylinder from the transmission.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Apply multi-purpose grease to the contact point of the release lever and slave cylinder.
  2.  
  3. Install the slave cylinder and tighten the mounting bolts to 28 ft. lbs. (37 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Connect the clutch hose to the slave cylinder. Tighten the nut to 13 ft. lbs. (18 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Bleed the clutch system. Refer to -Hydraulic System Bleeding- in this section.
  8.  
  9. Install the intercooler.
  10.  
  11. Install the air intake assembly.
