Power Mirrors



Diagnosis & Testing
  1. Connect the positive and negative battery terminals to the mirror terminals shown in the illustration.

Removal & Installation
Motor
2002 Models
  1. Completely close the door glass.
  2.  
  3. Remove the gusset cover, power window switch assembly, pocket and inner door handle.
  4.  
  5. Remove the trim panel screws and disengage the trim panel clips.
  6.  
  7. Detach the trim panel and disconnect the electrical connector.
  8.  
  9. Remove the speaker, trim bracket and remove assembly. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  10.  
  11. Using a spatula, remove the door sealer.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect the mirror assembly electrical connector.
  14.  
  15. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the mirror assembly.
  16.  
  17. Installation is the reverse order of removal.

2003-05 Models
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the gusset cover.
  4.  
  5. Pull up the inner door handle cover toward you to remove the upper hook. Pull down it to remove the lower hook. Remove the inner door handle cover.
  6.  
  7. Remove the power window switch assembly.
  8.  
  9. Using a trim panel remover, remove the clips of the trim panel.
  10.  
  11. Remove the mirror gusset cover.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect the mirror wiring harness.
  14.  
  15. Remove the grommet, and then loosen the screws and remove the mirror assembly.
  16.  
  17. Installation is the reverse order of removal.
  18.  

Switch
2002 Models
  1. Using a thin flat-bladed screwdriver, remove the switch and disconnect the wiring harness.
  2.  
  3. Installation is the reverse order of removal.
  4.  

2003-05 Models

The power mirror switch is part of the power window switch assembly or part of the inner door latch. Refer to -Power Window Switch, Removal & Installation- for additional information.
