PCM Memory Check Sum Error

Possible Causes:



Clear the trouble code, and recheck for the same code.
 
If this trouble code resets, the PCM must be replaced
 

Trouble Code: P0603



PCM EEPROM Memory Error

Possible Causes:



The contents of the EEPROM have changed
 
Clear the trouble codes, and recheck for the same code. If the same code resets, the PCM has failed.
 

Trouble Code: P0705



Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



TR range switch signal is open
 
TR range switch signal shorted to another switch position signal
 
TR range switch is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0720



A/T Output Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



OSS connector is damaged, open or shorted
 
OSS signal (+) circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
OSS signal (-) circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
OSS is damaged (sensor resistance is 648-792 ohms at 68ºF)
 
TCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0753



A/T Shift Solenoid 'A' Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



SSA control circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to B+
 
SSA power circuit is open
 
SSA is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0756



A/T Shift Solenoid 'B' System Performance (Stuck Off)

Possible Causes:



SSB is stuck in "off" position (mechanical problem)
 
SSB is damaged is damaged or has failed (mechanical fault)
 
SSB has a hydraulic problem
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0780



Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



TCC connector is damaged, open or shorted
 
TCC solenoid control circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
TCC solenoid control circuit is shorted to system power (B+)
 
TCC solenoid power circuit is open (check main relay & fuse)
 
TCC solenoid is damaged (solenoid resistance is 11-15 ohms)
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1250



EFE Heater Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



EFE heater control circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
EFE heater ground circuit or power circuit is open (from relay)
 
EFE heater control circuit is shorted to system power (B+)
 
EFE heater is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1410



Fuel Tank Pressure Control Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



FTP control solenoid connector is damaged, open or shorted
 
FTP control solenoid circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
FTP control solenoid power circuit is open (check the relay)
 
FTP solenoid is damaged (solenoid resistance is 28-39 ohms)
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1450



Barometric Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



BARO sensor connector is damaged, open or shorted
 
BARO sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
BARO sensor signal circuit shorted to VREF or system power
 
BARO sensor is contaminated, damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1451



Barometric Pressure Sensor Signal Range/Performance

Possible Causes:



BARO sensor connector is damaged, open or shorted
 
BARO sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
BARO sensor signal circuit shorted to VREF or system power
 
BARO sensor is contaminated, damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1460



Radiator Fan Control System Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Radiator fan relay control circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
Radiator fan relay ground circuit or power circuit is open
 
Radiator fan relay is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1500



Engine Starter Signal Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Engine starter signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
Engine starter signal circuit is shorted to system power (B+)
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1510



PCM Backup Power Supply Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Backup power supply circuit is open (check the Dome fuse)
 
Battery terminal connections may be loose or corroded
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1530



Ignition Timing Adjustment Switch Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



ITA switch connector is damaged or shorted
 
ITA switch circuit is shorted to sensor or chassis ground somewhere between the PCM and the test connector
