Front wheel bearings are a cartridge type and cannot be repacked.

Removal & Installation



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the drive shaft from the front wheel hub.

  4.  
  5. Remove the inner snap ring.
  6.  
  7. Remove the wheel hub with the support bridge J-37105-B-1, the bearing adapter J-37105-B-2, the hex nut 500-20, and the forcing screw J-36661-2.
  8.  
  9. Remove the brake shield.

  11. Remove the outer snap ring.
  12.  
  13. Remove the wheel bearing with the support bridge J-37105-B-1, the bearing adapter J-37105-B-2, the hex nut 500-20, and the forcing screw J-36661-2.
  14.  
  15. Clean the bore of the knuckle.
  16.  

To install

  1. Install the outer snap ring and push the wheel bearing into place with the support bridge J-37105-B-1, the bearing adapter J-37105-B-2, the hex nut 500-20, and the forcing screw J-36661-2.
  2.  
  3. Install the brake shield.
  4.  
  5. Install the inner snap ring.

  6.  
  7. Push the wheel hub into place with the hub adapter J-37105-B-3, the bearing adapter J-37105-B-2, the hex nut 500-20, and the forcing screw J-36661-2.
  8.  
  9. Install the drive axle into the front wheel hub.
  10.
