  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Raise and safely support the rear of the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. To preserve wheel balance, mark the position of the front wheel relative to the wheel hub.
  6.  
  7. Remove the wheels.
  8.  
  9. Remove the bolt and the ring seals that attach the brake hose inlet fitting to the caliper.
  10.  
  11. Disconnect the brake hose. Plug the openings in the caliper and the brake hose to prevent fluid loss or contamination.
  12.  
  13. Remove the caliper mounting bolts from the knuckle.
  14.  
  15. Remove the caliper.
  16.  

To install:

  1. Install the caliper assembly with the mounting bolts.
  2.  
  3. Tighten the caliper mounting bolts to 41 ft. lbs. (56 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Connect the brake hose to the caliper with bolt and ring seals. Tighten the caliper brake hose inlet bolt to 24 ft. lbs. (32 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Align the marks that were made when removing the front wheel, and install the wheel.
  8.  
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10.  
  11. Fill the master cylinder to the proper level with clean brake fluid.
  12.  
  13. Bleed the air out of the brake system.
  14.  
  15. Recheck the fluid level.
  16.  
  17. Repeatedly press the brake pedal to bring the pads in contact with the rotor.
