Carbureted Engines

The carbureted fuel system is not under high pressure, and, therefore, does not utilize special screw fittings.

The fuel hoses use conventional screw-type hose clamps. Position the hose clamps on the hoses as indicated in the accompanying illustration for proper hose sealing.

Inspect the fuel lines for evidence of fuel leakage, hose cracking and deterioration, or other damage. Ensure all hose clamps are secure. If any damage is evident, replace all necessary fuel lines.
