REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Samurai Models

See Figure 1

WARNING
When disassembling the instrument panel, it is a good idea to use a grounding strap to prevent from accidentally introducing electrical shocks to the fragile electronic components. Although static electrical shocks do not seem that damaging, the voltage of static electricity can often reach as high as 50,000 volts; plenty strong enough to damage electronic components.

The individual gauges can be replaced individually by disassembling the instrument cluster. (Refer to the accompanying illustration.) To disassemble the instrument cluster, remove the front and rear cluster half attaching screws, then separate the two halves. The individual gauges can be removed from the back half of the cluster housing.

When installing the gauges, ensure that they are properly positioned and secured in the housing. Reassemble the two halves and tighten the cluster half attaching screws securely.
