TCC solenoid has a mechanical failure
 
TCC solenoid has a hydraulic failure
 
PCM has failed

TCC Solenoid Performance (Stuck On Mechanically)

Possible Causes:



A/T valve body has a mechanical failure
 
A/T fluid body is clogged or it is leaking
 
TCC solenoid has a mechanical failure
 
TCC clutch has a mechanical failure
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P0743



Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



TCC solenoid connector is damaged, open or shorted
 
TCC valve control circuit is open, shorted to ground or power
 
TCC solenoid power circuit is open (check main relay & fuse)
 
TCC solenoid is damaged (solenoid resistance is 11-15 ohms)
 
PCM has failed

A/T Shift Solenoid 'A' System Performance (Stuck Off Mechanically)

Possible Causes:



SSA is stuck in "off" position (mechanical problem)
 
SSA is damaged is damaged or has failed (mechanical fault)
 
SSA has a hydraulic problem
 
PCM has failed

A/T Shift Solenoid 'A' System Performance (Stuck On Mechanically)

Possible Causes:



A/T assembly has a mechanical failure
 
A/T valve body has a mechanical failure
 
A/T fluid body is clogged or it is leaking
 
SSA solenoid has a mechanical failure
 
TCC clutch has a mechanical failure
 
PCM has failed

A/T Shift Solenoid 'A' Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



SSA control circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to B+
 
SSA power circuit is open
 
SSA is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

A/T Shift Solenoid 'B' System Performance (Stuck Off)

Possible Causes:



SSB is stuck in "off" position (mechanical problem)
 
SSB is damaged is damaged or has failed (mechanical fault)
 
SSB has a hydraulic problem
 
PCM has failed

A/T Shift Solenoid 'B' System Performance (Stuck On Mechanically)

Possible Causes:



A/T assembly has a mechanical failure
 
A/T valve body has a mechanical failure
 
A/T fluid body is clogged or it is leaking
 
SSB solenoid has a mechanical failure
 
PCM has failed

A/T Shift Solenoid 'B' Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



SSB connector is damaged, open or shorted
 
SSB control circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
SSB ground circuit is open, or the SSA power circuit is open
 
SSB is damaged (solenoid resistance is 11-15 ohms at 68ºF)
 
PCM has failed

Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Signal Performance

Possible Causes:



MDP sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
MDP sensor vacuum source in intake manifold is clogged
 
MDP sensor is damaged, out-of-calibration or has failed
 
PCM has failed

Fuel Tank Pressure Control Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



FTP control solenoid connector is damaged, open or shorted
 
FTP control solenoid circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
FTP control solenoid power circuit is open (check the relay)
 
FTP solenoid is damaged (solenoid resistance is 28-39 ohms)
 
PCM has failed

BARO sensor connector is damaged, open or shorted
 
BARO sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
BARO sensor signal circuit shorted to VREF or system power

PCM has failed

BARO sensor connector is damaged, open or shorted
 
BARO sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
BARO sensor signal circuit shorted to VREF or system power

Engine starter signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
Engine starter signal circuit is shorted to system power (B+)

Backup power supply circuit is open (check the Dome fuse)
