Removal & Installation



Wiper Motor
  1. For easy removal of the wiper arms, operate the wipers and turn the ignition switch OFF when the wiper arms are about half way on the downward sweep.

  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. On vehicles equipped with an air bag, wait at least 90 seconds before proceeding.

  5. Remove the nuts and the wiper arms.
  6.  
  7. If necessary, remove the cowl louver.

  9. Disconnect the electrical connector to the wiper motor.
  10.  
  11. Remove the bolts to the wiper motor.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect the wiper link.
  14.  

To install:

  1. Install the wiper motor to the vehicle. Connect the linkage and secure the motor with the bolts.
  2.  
  3. Connect the wiper motor wire harness.
  4.  
  5. Check wiper motor operation and then install the cowl louver.
  6.  
  7. Install the screws and caps to the cowl louver.
  8.  
  9. Install the wiper arms and then install the nuts to the wiper arms.
  10.  
  11. Install the wiper arm caps.
  12.  
  13. Reconnect the negative battery cable and operate the wipers once.
  14.  
  15. Turn the wiper switch OFF and install the wiper arms. Tighten the wiper arm nuts to 15-18 ft. lbs. (20-25 Nm).
  16.  
  17. Inspect the installed height of the wiper arms. The arms should be level when in the park position.
