Always use a back-up wrench when removing and installing fuel lines.
Apply a light coat of engine oil to the flare and tighten the flare nut by hand. Using a torque wrench, tighten the flare nut to 17 ft. lbs. (24 Nm) on fuel pump side and 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm) for all others.
Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 11.81 inch (30 cm).
