REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Drain the cooling system.
  2.  
  3. Unfasten the clamps and remove the radiator upper and lower hoses. If equipped with an automatic transmission, remove the oil cooler lines.
  4.  
  5. Detach the hood lock cable and remove the hood lock from the radiator upper support.
  6.  

It may be necessary to remove the grille in order to gain access to the hood lock/radiator support assembly.

  1. Remove the fan shroud, if so equipped.
  2.  
  3. On models equipped with a coolant recovery system, disconnect the hose form the thermal expansion tank and remove the tank from its bracket.
  4.  
  5. Unbolt and remove the radiator upper support.
  6.  
  7. Unfasten the bolts and remove the radiator.
  8.  


WARNING
Use care not to damage the radiator fins or the cooling fan.

  1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Remember to check the transmission fluid level on cars with automatic transmissions. (See General Information & Maintenance ).

  3. Fill the radiator to the specified level as detailed under Fluid Level Checks, in General Information & Maintenance .
