REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Check the fuel pressure.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the vacuum sensing hose.
  6.  
  7. Put a suitable container or shop towel under the pressure regulator.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the fuel hose from the regulator.
  10.  
  11. On the Supra, disconnect the No. 2 fuel pipe from the regulator.
  12.  
  13. Remove the locknut, and separate the regulator from the engine.
  14.  

To install:
  1. Install the regulator with the locknut, and tighten the locknut to 22 ft. lbs. (29 Nm) on the
  2.  

Celica or 26-39 ft. lbs. (35-53 Nm) on the Supra.

  1. On the Supra, connect the No. 2 fuel pipe, using a new gasket, pipe, another gasket and union bolt to the regulator. Tighten the union bolt to 18-25 ft. lbs. (25-34 Nm).

  1. Attach the other fuel hose.
  2.  
  3. Connect the vacuum sensing hose.
  4.  
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6.
