  4.
  5. Remove the window defogger wire connector.
  6.
  7. If you are reusing the weatherstrip, working from outside the vehicle, loosen the weatherstrip from the body with a proper prytool.
  8.
  9. If you are not using the weatherstrip, from outside, cut off the weatherstrip lip with a knife.
  10.
  11. Force the weatherstrip lip from the interior to the body flange outside. Pull the glass outwards and remove it with the weatherstrip.
  12.

To install:
  1. Wipe off any adhesive left on the body or glass with alcohol.
  2.
  3. Attach the weatherstrip to the glass. Apply a working cord to facilitate glass installation.
  4.

Use a new weatherstrip if the old one is hardened. A hardened and dried out weatherstrip could develop water leaks.

  1. Apply soapy water to the contact face of the weatherstrip lip and to the body flange.
  2.
  3. Hold the glass in position on the body.
  4.
  5. Begin the installation in the middle of the lower part of the glass. With the aid of an assistant, install the glass by pulling the working cord from the interior, while pushing the outside of the weatherstrip with your hand. To snug the glass in place, tap from the outside with your open hand.
  6.
  7. Put masking tape around the weatherstrip to protect the paint and glass and apply adhesive between the weatherstrip and glass and between the weatherstrip and body.
  8.
  9. When the adhesive is dry, remove the masking tape and install the remainder of the parts removed for glass removal.
