FLUID LEVEL CHECK

See Figures 1 and 2

The fluid level in the power steering reservoir should be checked at least every 15,000 miles. The vehicle should be parked on level ground, with the engine warm and running at normal idle. Remove the filler cap and check the level on the dipstick; it should be in between the edges of the cross-hatched area on older models or within the HOT area of the dipstick on newer models. If the level is low, add Dexron®II type ATF until the proper level is achieved.
