Toyota's have an identification plate which is located under the hood on the firewall of most models. The models are identified by a code. These codes explain exactly what your vehicle is and has. For example; model number MS55L-KD is a 1968-71 Crown sedan deluxe, with a 2M engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. When you walk into your dealer or local parts store to purchase a part for your vehicle, and are not sure exactly what type of vehicle you drive, the model number and vehicle identification numbers are the key.
