  1. Disconnect the wiper motor multiconnector.
  2.  
  3. Remove the service cover and loosen the motor mounting bolts.
  4.  
  5. Use a screwdriver to separate the wiper link-to-motor connection.
  6.  


WARNING
Be careful not to bend the linkage.

  1. Remove the wiper motor.
  2.  
  3. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  4.  

Mark II 4 Cylinder
  1. Remove the access hole cover.
  2.  
  3. Separate the wiper link from the motor by prying gently.
  4.  
  5. Remove the left and right cowl ventilators by lifting the retaining clips.
  6.  
  7. Remove the wiper arms and linage retaining nuts. Push the pivots into the ventilators.
  8.  
  9. Loosen the wiper link connectors at their ends.
  10.  
  11. Start the wiper motor and turn the ignition key OFF when the motor crank is at the position illustrated.
  12.  

The wiper motor is difficult to remove when it is in the PARK position.

  1. Unplug the multiconnector at the motor.
  2.  
  3. Remove the motor mounting bolts and lift out the motor.
  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal. Assemble the crank as illustrated.
  6.  

1972-76 Mark II 6 Cylinder and Cressida
  1. Remove the cover from the service hole.
  2.  
  3. Set the wiper crank 180° from the PARK position by turning the ignition switch OFF at that point.
  4.  
  5. Separate the link from the motor crank.
  6.  
  7. Unplug the multiconnector at the motor.
  8.  
  9. Remove the mounting nuts and lift out the motor.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal.
