  1. Have the vehicle's A/C system discharged by an authorized service station.
  2.  
  3. Remove the fan shroud.
  4.  
  5. Remove the radiator mount bolts.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the discharge hose from the condenser inlet fitting.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the liquid hose from the condenser outlet fitting.
  10.  
  11. Remove the condenser mounting bolts and nuts, lift the unit out of the engine compartment.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect the liquid hose from the sight glass.
  14.  
  15. Disconnect the three discharge hoses from the condenser inlet fitting and discharge tube.
  16.  
  17. Disconnect the pressure switch lead wire.
  18.  
  19. Remove the bolts retaining the rear housing, then remove the rear housing.
  20.  

To install:

  1. Install in the reverse sequence of removal.
  2.  
  3. Connect the liquid hose and discharge hose to the condenser. Tighten the liquid hose to 10 ft. lbs. (13 Nm) and the discharge hose to 16 ft. lbs. (22 Nm).
  4.  
  5. If the condenser was replaced with a new one, add compressor oil to the compressor. Add 1.4-1.7 fl. oz. (40-50 cc) of DENSOOIL 6, SUNISO No. 5GS or equivalent.
  6.  
  7. Have an authorized service station evacuate, charge and check the system for leaks.
  8.

  1. Have the vehicle's A/C system discharged by an authorized service station.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the discharge hose from the condenser inlet fitting. Cap the open fitting immediately to keep moisture out of the system.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the liquid hose from the condenser outlet fitting. Cap the open fitting immediately to keep moisture out of the system.
  6.  
  7. Unplug the condenser fan motor connector.
  8.  
  9. Remove the condenser mounting bolts and lift the unit out of the vehicle.
  10.  

To install:

  1. Install the condenser and tighten the mounting bolts.
  2.  
  3. Attach the compressor fan motor connector.
  4.  
  5. Connect the liquid hose and discharge hose to the condenser. Tighten the liquid hose to 10 ft. lbs. (13 Nm) and the discharge hose to 16 ft. lbs. (22 Nm).
  6.  
  7. If the condenser was replaced with a new one, add compressor oil to the compressor. Add 1.4-1.7 fl. oz. (40-50 cc) of DENSOOIL 6, SUNISO No. 5GS or equivalent.
  8.  
  9. Have an authorized service station evacuate, charge and check the system for leaks.

  1. Have the vehicle's A/C system discharged by an authorized service station.
  2.  
  3. Remove the following parts:

    Front grille
     
    Hood lock and center brace
     
    Horn
     
    Receiver/drier
     
    Bumper
     
    Condenser fan
     
    Oil cooler (the oil cooler hoses do not remove)
     

  4.  
  5. Disconnect the liquid line tube and discharge hose from the condenser outlet fitting. Cap the open fitting immediately to keep moisture out of the system.
  6.  
  7. Remove the ambient sensor. Unbolt and remove the condenser.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Install the condenser and tighten the mounting bolts.
  2.  
  3. Install the ambient sensor.
  4.  
  5. Attach the liquid and discharge hose to the condenser. Tighten the liquid tube to 17 ft. lbs. (21 Nm) and the discharge hose to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Install the following parts:

    Front grille
     
    Hood lock and center brace
     
    Horn
     
    Receiver/drier
     
    Bumper
     
    Condenser fan
     
    Oil cooler
     

  8.  
  9. If the condenser was replaced with a new one, add compressor oil to the compressor. Add 1.4-1.7 fl. oz. (40-50 cc) of DENSOOIL 6, SUNISO No. 5GS or equivalent.
  10.  
  11. Have an authorized service station evacuate, charge and check the system for leaks.
  12.
