THROTTLE CABLE

  1. Push on the accelerator connecting rod and check that the throttle valve opens fully. If the throttle valve does not open fully, adjust the accelerator link.

  3. Fully depress the accelerator. Loosen the cable adjustment locknuts.
  4.  
  5. Adjust the cable housing so that the distance between the end of the boot and the stopper on the cable is correct. The distance should be 0-0.04 in. (0-1mm).
  6.  
  7. Tighten the cable adjusting nuts. Recheck the adjustments.

FLOOR SHIFT LINKAGE

  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Working from underneath the vehicle, loosen the nuts on the shift linkage connecting rod.
  4.  
  5. Push the manual lever fully toward the front of the vehicle.
  6.  
  7. Return the lever 3 notches to the NEUTRAL position.
  8.  
  9. Set the shift selector at the N position.
  10.  
  11. While holding the selectors lightly toward the R position, tighten the connecting rod nut.
  12.  
  13. When shifting the shift lever from the N position to the other positions, check that the lever can be shifted smoothly and accurately to each position and that the position indicator correctly indicates the position.
